SKYRIM FIRST PERSON ANIMATIONS MOD MODS
Reason número dos: It’s my birthday this week and I’m basically stuck alone at home, away from family and friends thanks to an IRL global shortage of Resist Disease potions… Sharing mods for my favourite game with you all makes me happy, so here we go, doggos for all while I continue working on the main mod.
SKYRIM FIRST PERSON ANIMATIONS MOD MOD
So… two main reasons for sharing it now: Number one – Big mod will be quite extensive and cover a lot of things, it is likely it is not everyone’s cup of tea and some people will want it just for the “pet the dog” side of things, so here’s a standalone version already. That’s an excellent question, my imaginary friend! I keep adding more and more things to the main mod and it seems it will take me some decent amount of time to release it. – Why release this now instead of waiting for the bigger mod you’re working on? Only third person animations are included, this means it will only work in first person if you have a sort of “see your body in first person” mod. Jarl Balgruuf deserves some respect! You don’t know what goes down at Dragonsreach when the dragonborn is not around.
– No for real, why won’t you let me pet the Jarl?
Main version will include other animals and lots of different interactions with objects and NPCs. This version is a standalone version of a bigger mod I’m working on. – Can we pet cats? Can we pet chickens? Can we pet horses? Can we pet guards? Without Dynamic Animation Replacer, there will be some default vanilla animations that will not look as good (but it will still work).įNIS and Nemesis are not needed for this mod. If you want my tweaked animations, you will need Dynamic Animation Replacer. This should not happen too often but you know. However, doggo is gonna doggo and sometimes, doggo will decide to suddenly stand up leaving you looking funny ? There are 3 animations: One for when the dog is sitting down, one for when the dog is standing up and one for when the dog is lying on the floor. This way you can talk to the dog, if the dog can be talked to in vanilla (most dogs just bark at you and have no dialogue) (I just realized how weird that last sentence was – Please, don’t send me to the asylum) Activating the dog again after or during this animation will do the default vanilla activation, like talking. When you activate a friendly dog while you have no weapons/magic/fists out, a short animation will play (pet the dog). If some kind animator soul wants to reach out and improve these or provide new ones, please do so! You must be facing the dog straight forward for them to make sense most of the time, but hey, it’s what we have and I’ll gladly take it so I can pet my boy Meeko! (He’s been through a lot, OK?) Important note: I’m not an animator, these animations are not perfect. Yes, you heard it right: Tell Alduin, to put the apocalypse on hold, for I am proud to announce: “Yes, you can pet the dog!” Forget about the greybeards and the voice, your duty is now only to rejoice. After 10 years, we’ve seen all sorts of ehem, interesting mods but there is one key aspect that was always missing, so I made it happen:ĭragonborn, take off your iron gauntlets, for today is not the time to be dauntless. I realize this might seem like a joke mod given the date, but I assure you it is NOT. You can combine this with the Weapon Animation Replacers mod, which improves the ways characters hold weapons - from crouching to running - to make characters look ready for whatever nasty surprises they may stumble upon in the desert.I couldn’t believe it’s the year 2021 of our Lord Talos and you still couldn’t pet dogs in Skyrim. Gun poses look thoroughly badass, characters stand more upright, and Brotherhood soldiers posture like they're ready to cave your skull in, rather than like some extinct evolutionary ancestor to the homo sapiens. With this in mind, the 'Re-Animated' mod for New Vegas raises the game's animations up to - if not beyond - Fallout 4 standards. While early footage shows a definite improvement on Bethesda's last RPG, Skyrim, there are big question marks over whether the animations will match major AAA games like The Witcher 3, GTA V or MGS: The Phantom Pain. One of the few early criticisms that can be made of Fallout 4 is that character animations still look a bit on the stiff side.
Even when standing upright, everyone slouches forward in an ape-like way, and people hold their guns as if they were playing amateur paintball during an office 'fun day out', rather than like hardened wasteland survivors.
